This presentation will explain the importance of the housebuilding industry in meeting national net-zero targets, and the challenges faced across the industry.

Kathryn Dapré is a sustainability leader with over 25 years working in the field. She is currently Head of Sustainability for Cala Housing, one of the UK’s major housebuilders, where she is responsible for delivering their Sustainability Strategy, including a commitment to delivering netzero enabled homes ahead of legislative requirements.

In addition to her role with Cala, Kathryn chairs SGN’s Environmental Panel and sits on Scottish Water’s Net- Zero Expert Panel. Prior to working for Cala, Kathryn spent over 9 years as Head of Energy and Sustainability for NHS National Services Scotland and was also previously chair of the Sustainability Scotland Network from 2018 to 2021. She is a regular contributor to national and international conferences and seminars on climate change and sustainability.
